MY REVIEW
From the moment I stepped onto the Calypso Star vessel, I felt a rush of excitement. The vastness of the ocean and the allure of coming face-to-face with the majestic Great White Sharks had always been a dream of mine, and now it was about to become a reality.
The crew, with their vast experience and evident passion for the ocean and its inhabitants, immediately put me at ease. Their knowledge, stemming from the legacy of Captain, was evident in every detail of the trip. I was particularly impressed by the stories of Rolf's early days, tagging and releasing these magnificent creatures even before their protection became a mandate in 1997.
As the cage descended into the deep blue, my heart raced. But any fear was quickly replaced by awe as I witnessed the graceful dance of the Great White Sharks in their natural habitat. Their sheer size and power, juxtaposed with an unexpected gentleness, was a sight to behold.
Reflecting on my experience, I can't help but feel grateful to the Calypso team for making this dream come true. Their commitment to safety, education, and sustainable tourism ensures that future generations will also have the chance to experience this incredible adventure. It wasn't just a dive; it was a transformative journey that I'll cherish forever.
